What happens in my session?
The first thing that happens is the meet & greet. It’s the time where we first meet your pet. We play a little, you show us the “tricks” he does, we show him the camera and the noises it makes and share some treats the to reinforce that the camera it is not a threat.
After a little while, your pet comes back from the “who-are-these-people-should-I-trust-them” mode into his usual self.
Then we just take pictures.
Your session will be casual and fun, our goal is to reflect the true personality of your pet, so if your pet loves to play we’ll be playing with its favorite toys, if your pet loves to run in the park, that’s what we’ll do, and so on.
Where would my session be?
Wherever your pet feels more comfortable! It could be in its favorite park, in your back yard, in the mountain… Even in multiple locations! The possibilities are endless, BUT, since pictures always come better in natural light (and since flash tends to give “zombie eyes”), if it’s done inside your house it would be better to have it close to a window. And no, we don’t do studio shoots (they all seem “boring” to us). Another thing, since natural light is a critical element for our work, we would rather reschedule if the weather doesn’t allow us to work properly.
I’m out of ideas… Could you just suggest a place to have our session?
Of course! We have a number of locations across town to have awesome sessions.
My dog is a runner, I can’t keep him without a leash!
Your pet’s safety is the most important thing. If he needs to be leashed, that is not a problem. We have a great ally in Photoshop to remove the leash/other unwanted elements.
Can humans be part of the session?
Absolutely! Just remember: The focus of the session is your pet. We take fabulous portraits with people and their pets. The reason we don’t show people in the website is to respect our clients’ privacy.
OK, cool! I want to be part of the session… What should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you confortable. Just keep in mind that you’ll be playing with your pet.
I have more questions! What should I do?
